21 Thoughts I had when I Landed In Nepal After 3 Years!

I had been away from home for last 3 years and recently came back to Nepal. Do you know what does that mean? Excitement, happiness, emotions, nostalgia, and a lot of feelings — good feelings. So, without further ado, these are the 21 thoughts I had when I entered Nepal after over three years.

1. Wow! Everthing is so green from up here.

2. It must be Kathmandu now. So many houses and tall buildings everywhere – pretty much the same as before, I guess.

3. <Captain Announces: “We’re about to land in Kathmandu.> Damn! Is this for real?

4. Aaaaaaand we land! Woot woot! Namaste Nepal – my favorite country in the entire freaking world.

5. Aaah! This air!

6. There’s the bus. Let’s go inside the airport now. Tadadada!

7. Aww! Niti baini welcomed me.

Niti Shah!

8. I wonder who all have come to receive me.

9. Here we are. Let’s go and grab the luggage now.

10. My flight no. is still not listed on the screen. Guess I’ll have to wait for a while.

11. Wait! That looks like my bag. But my flight no. is still not listed. How come..?? Whatever, I’ll just grab my bag.

12. And there’s the other one. Let’s get the hell out of here now.

13. Aah! Everyone speaks Nepali. Eargasm!

14. Now, where my people at? There they are! Happinessssssssss!

15. Finally! Meeting my family after years. I am the happiest person on earth right now.

16. They say Tribhuvan International Airport is one of the worst international airports in the world but not even the finest airports have ever given me so much happiness.

17. Come on, let’s hit the road now. Can’t wait to see how much the capital has changed.

18. Why is everyone honking so much!?

19. Is that where Dharhara used to be? I think I am gonna cry right now.

20. Hmm! The roads look pretty good.

21. Here we are. *Dances*

I moved to Pokhara, the beautiful town I call home, the next day.

That’s it amigos! Until next post.

In Just 7 Minutes, This Guy Accurately Explains Why Nepalese Are Not United: Watch

No matter how much we chant “Himal Pahad Tarai, chhaina kohi parai” (Regardless of which part of the country we live in, we all are equal); deep inside we all know and we’ve been seeing what the reality is. Over hundred castes and ethnic groups, over 90 languages and half a dozen of different religions – these are the demographics of Nepal. And we’ve been always trying to prove everyone else that we are better than the people of other castes, religions and regions. And no, we’re not talking about the uneducated people but some of the most educated ones who too have been practicing the same. You see, the problem is not always with our political leaders; sometimes it’s us, the people, who need to be blamed.

Gunadhish Khanal is a student in Germany from Chitwan. He has recently come up with a video titled ‘Hypocrisy in Nepali virtual society’ which features you, yes you reading this right now. The 7-minute-video doesn’t preach on why and how we should be united. Instead, it brings out the bigger picture on why we are not united. The video shot from a cellphone and edited on Windows Movie Maker is a very simple, yet a powerful video that has Khanal saying some of the most common dialogues we always say, or have said. No matter how educated you are and how liberal you are; we are pretty sure that some of the dialogues stated in the video might remind you of the time when you said the same.

Here’s the video. Strong language has been used in the video and hence, viewer discretion is advised.

Talking about the video, “People appear to be very different on social media than in real. They are plainly hypocrites. It was never a good time to observe social media hypocrites than during the Madhesh movement. Leaders, journalists, followers, agitators, opponents, nationalists, NRNs, and even lowly tweeter eggs were exposed,” Khanal told NeoStuffs. “And you know what, it appears as if hypocrisy unites us together. I should not even claim the video because I plagiarized everyday material from our own social media.”

You can connect with him on his Instagram, Vine and YouTube handles.

Do comment below what you think of the video.

Benedict Cumberbatch Recalls How He Got Lost In Nepal And Survived, Bear Grylls-Style

Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Marvel’s $165 million fantasy film directed by Stock Derrickson is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 4th. Some of the major parts of the movie were also filmed in Nepal last year. Cumberbatch recently recalled the incident from 21 years ago when he along with his friends got lost in the Himalayas and survived how we see in Bear Grylls’ shows.

In the cover story titled “The Mind-Bending Benedict Cumberbatch‘ published on Vanity Fair magazine’s latest issue, the ‘Sherlock’ actor talked about his gap year in mid 90s. At 19, he took a year off from his studies and went to India and started teaching English to monks in Darjeeling. He along with three of his friends then went on a trip to Nepal. After reaching Kathmandu, they took a bus as they wanted to explore the Himalayas. As they were students and could not afford to hire Sherpas, they decided to go on their own. But to their shock, altitude sickness started derailing them one by one and soon the group of four became a group of three and then a group of two. By the third night of the trip, Cumberbatch recalls, “I started to have really weird, fucked-up dreams, and felt things were happening in my sleep. I wasn’t sure if I was conscious or awake.”

Continuing the trip, he and his friend reached a spiritual fork in the road and got confused if to go up or down. They chose up and that’s when they got bewilderingly lost. They ran out of biscuits and had to drink rainwater squeezed out of moss, because they had read it was safer than river water. The next morning, they followed the river in hope it would lead to civilization. Both of them had nearly broken their necks slipping down moss-covered boulders. As they continued to trek, leeches stuck to their ankles. They found a path with fresh yak droppings which was a good sign. Finally, the trees thinned and they came to a clearing of terraced pastures and log cabins. They were served the “best-tasting meal” as Cumberbatch recalls, by the inhabitants. The meal that consisted of unwashed greens and a bowl of eggs had him immediately suffer from dysentery.

Well, that’s one heck of an adventure that Cumberbatch still has fresh memories of even after over two decades. Here’s the trailer of his upcoming superhero flick. The world is eagerly waiting for its release, are you?

Fresh Tunes: Jyovan Bhuju Beautifully Covers Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Piya Re Piya Re’

Pakistani legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was not only a gem in Pakistani or South Asian music but on a global scale. Born in Faisalabad to a Punjabi Muslim couple in 1948, the sufi maestro is also known as ‘Shahenshah-e-Qawwali’ (The King of Qawwali). He not only introduced Qawwali to the international audiences but also collaborated with some of the most renowned international artistes from around the world. Before his death in 1997, he had toured over forty countries to perform at some of the grandest venues around the world.

Not many artistes would dare to cover any of his songs but a Kathmandu based singer recently did and to our surprise, he has done quite a good job. Jyovan Bhuju has so far released some original and some cover songs. To be honest, we were a little doubtful before we listened to him singing ‘Piya Re Piya Re’ but after we did, we were astonished. He has a stable voice and can control high and low notes beautifully. We pretty much loved his cover.

Listen to it here and let us know what you think of it.

Hey, Do You Remember #FuntasticParisGirls? They’re Back: Watch

You do remember #FuntasticParisGirls, right? Of course you do. The girls who had entertained us with their ‘Funtastic’ dance cover earlier this year in July are back with another video and this time around, it’s none other than the latest viral song ‘Nira’ from upcoming Dayahang Rai and Priyanka Karki starrer ‘Purano Dunga’. The girls have done a good job and so has Avash Acharya who has shot, edited and directed the video.

The cinematography of the video is too good. Look at this opening shot.

Pooja Adhikari, Dipna Bhatta, Sophiya Basnet, Samkishya Thapa and Dilisha Bhatta can be seen dancing in the song by Kali Prasad Baskota. Choreographed by Sophiya Basnet, the dance cover is filmed in the French capital Paris.

Watch the performance below and let us know what you think of it.

The Battle Between The Official And Unofficial ‘Prem Geet’ Sequels

‘Prem Geet’ was a Valentines’ treat for cine-lovers when it released in February this year. The film didn’t only receive positive responses from the audiences and film critics, it also proved to be a commercial hit at the box office. So, with the ‘sequel’ trend going on in Nepali cinema, it was quite obvious for the film to have one as well. But to your surprise, there is not going to be only one sequel but two of them – one official and the other one would be unofficial. Confused? Let us explain.

Earlier this year in September, ‘Prem Geet’ producer Santosh Sen announced the sequel of the film. But apparently, because of his beef with director Sudarshan Thapa and actress Puja Shamra, he didn’t make them part of the sequel titled ‘Prem Geet 2’. So, Aaslesha Thakuri, a model and theatre actress, would be debuting opposite Pradeep Khadka in the film that will be directed by ‘Prem Geet’ writer Ramsaran Pathak.

Interestingly, just days after the announcement of ‘Prem Geet 2’, director Sudarshan Thapa too announced a new film and well, it doesn’t look like a coincidence that the film’s title is ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchu’, a phrase from ‘Prem Geet’ title song. The film that will be produced and directed by Thapa himself will have the original ‘Geet’ Pooja Sharma. Paul Shah who had debuted with ‘Nai Na Bhannu La 4’ this year will be playing the lead in the film. And guess what, actor Saroj Khanal who had played Pooja’s father in the film too will be part of this. That’s not it yet, the music for the film will be composed by ‘Prem Geet’ music director Arjun Pokharel. Now you know, why we are calling ‘Ma Yesto Geet Gauchu’ an unofficial sequel of ‘Prem Geet’.

The two films will go on floor almost at the same time, after Tihar. So the chances are, the films will most likely be released in same time as well. A healthy competition is always good and the audiences will definitely benefit from it as the two teams will try their best to make their film better than the other. Plus, we can definitely expect some good music from these two films.

Well, we’re excited. Who else is?

We Asked People Who They Think Are The Most Iconic Nepali Duos & This Is What We Got!

If you’re active on Twitter, you probably know about one of the hottest trends of this week – the ‘more iconic duo’ meme. The fun started when user @negansvoid tweeted this.

She posted a picture of Kylie and Kendall Jenner and challenged the internet to ‘name a more iconic duo’. The Jenner sisters who had launched their fashion line earlier this year are on a roll and the two definitely make one of the most successful duos. But are they really the most iconic duo ever? Well, it didn’t take too long to get the answer and it was ‘NO’ as thousands of Twitter users replied to her tweet with the pictures of the duos they think are way more iconic than these two models.

We recently thought of doing a Nepali version of the same and so, we asked people on Facebook about who they think are the most iconic Nepali duos and this is what we got.

MaHa Jodi

Submitted by Nikhil Sapkota, Arjun Subedi, Ishi Rai, Sujan Rai & Kushal Acharya

When two words ‘iconic’ and ‘duo’ are part of the same sentence; the only word that comes to every Nepali’s mind and heart is ‘Ma-Ha’. Probably the most iconic duo Nepal will every have, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya have not only been entertaining but making people aware of various issues and topics; and helping them whenever they are in need, since decades. These two make an iconic duo in every sense. Legends!

A quick suggestion: Always keep a picture of them on your phone or even in your wallet. Whenever you are upset, just see the picture and you shall smile no matter what you are going through. Just try it.

Submitted by Pranjali Dahal, Priyanmbada Khadka, Niruta Gautam, Nishma Dhakal, Anjali Regmi, Shanti Limbu, Sangya Pant, Misha Kafle

The photos of Dayahang Rai – Priyanka Karki duo had the most number of submissions on the thread. The two who have been currently taking the film industry by storm have so far given us films like ‘Jholay’, ‘Woda No. 6’, ‘Fanko’ and ‘How Funny’ along with ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ and ‘Karkash’ in which Priyanka had cameo roles. The duo will be seen in upcoming films ‘Purano Dunga’, ‘Happy Days’, ‘Laltin’ and ‘Jholay 2’ as well. The two actors are soon to start their own production house as well. According to Priyanka, the banner might be named YA Films as both of their names have the letters YA in them.

This pair is definitely one of the most iconic duos Nepali cinema has ever witnessed and we are glad to have them.

Submitted by Soniya Shakya

Does anyone has any objections if this real-life couple of Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ and Kunjana Ghimire ‘Suntali’ is declared as one of the most iconic duos? None, of course. We’ve loved them on television screens, we’ve loved them on stages and now we are loving them even more when this duo has been doing what even the government has failed to do. The two are currently working day and night in Giranchaur to build houses for the earthquake victims. They have rejected dozens of shows so that they can only concentrate on their Giranchaur project.

You, sir and madam, you two are two of the greatest human beings to have ever taken birth in this country. We are proud of you!

Submitted by Youman Maharjan

Undoubtedly two of the finest actors Nepali cinema has ever produced, Saugat Malla and Dayahang Rai have given us films likes ‘Loot’, ‘Dasdhunga’, ‘Highway’, ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’, ‘Fanko’ and ‘Badhshala’ among others. Regardless of how the film does at the box office, if the two are together in a film, it will be a treat for any Nepali cine lover to watch the film. This list couldn’t have been complete without this powerful duo.

Submitted by Shreshan Shrestha

From television screens to the silver screens, the Deepak Raj Giri and Dipa Shree Niraula duo never fails to entertain us. Their latest blockbuster film ‘Chhakka Panja’ has recently entered its fourth week and still is doing wonders at the box office. The film has been breaking all the records and we’re excited to see how many more records it breaks in future.

This duo is unstoppable together!

Late King Birendra & Queen Aishwarya

Submitted by Ming Fung Lama

When we lost late king Birendra and queen Aishwarya in 2001, it felt like we lost our own parents. That pretty much sums us what they meant to us. The love and respect we had for them will never fade. We miss you!

Submitted by Parit Shrestha

Naren Limbu and Sudip Gurung had formed one of the most loved Nepali bands in 2000s. ‘Aastha’, a two-men band, had released its self-titled album in 2003 which quickly became everyone’s favorite album. We had a heartbreak when Sudip left for the UK for further studies and the two came up with their solo albums later. We had and we have always loved them as ‘Aastha’ and we would always have the desire to see them together coming up with beautiful music. They had their reunion gig recently in Australia and to be honest, we are jealous of every single person present there who witnessed the two performing together after over a decade.

We hope to see them coming up with a song, or may be even an entire album, really soon. Please make a comeback, Aastha!

Submitted by Concious

Girish Khatiwada and Pranil Timalsena make one of the most legendary duos in Nepali music scene. The two more popularly known as GP didn’t only give us few songs or albums to remember, but they gave us an entire genre of music. The two officially introduced Nepal to HipHop music and we will always remain grateful to them for the same. It’s been over a decade since we have not seen them performing together and we would be more than happy to see them come up with something soon.

GP, you will always have a special place in our hearts because you two are jasto sukai vaye pani daami!

Submitted by Rashika Khadka

And how could someone not submit a picture of the most loved Nepali celebrity couple – the parents of Sahas Ratna Tamrakar. The Uglyz vocalist Sarun Tamrakar and Miss Nepal 2002 Payal Shakya have been giving us some serious relationship goals since years and they indeed make an iconic duo.

We love you!

Submitted by Sonny Maharjan

The sons of the legendary singer Bhakta Raj Acharya – Satya Raj Acharya and Sworup Acharya make an unmatchable musician duo. The two have given us some of the most beautiful songs that will always remain close to us.

Well, this duo is the most ‘melodious’ duo in Nepal!

The ‘Urban Girl’ Duo

Submitted by Nikita Acharya

Urban Girl Co-Founder Nikita Acharya posted a picture of her along with her partner Kiran Timsina and wrote, “May be not now, but definitely in next couple of years.” We loved her confidence and we have faith in these two young entrepreneurs who have been successfully running one of Nepal’s most popular e-commerce portal Urban Girl. The two have also started UG Cakes which has been making quite a good name for itself because of the delicious and beautiful looking customized cakes.

We loved Nikita’s spirit as nobody else had submitted their own pictures, may be because they were not not confident enough to call themselves ‘iconic’ but she did and she has our respect!

Do you think that’s it yet? Do you think that we already have all the iconic duos on this list? Well, think again and thing hard. You might be missing the MOST IMPORTANT duo that matters in ever single Nepali’s life. Did you give up already? Alright then, let us reveal the secret.

We also received the picture of this duo!

Submitted by Sushanta Shrestha

The one and only…. Daal-Bhat! Best duo ever!!

And well, we also received this:

Submitted by Anurag Man Shakya

(FYI The blogger’s name is Neeraj.)

This had us laughing continuously for at least 10 minutes!

Looks like that’s it for now. Comment below which duo would you like to add to this list. You can also view and even add pictures in the original Facebook thread where this whole thing took place.

This Bungee Jumper Is The Real Life ‘Hari Bahadur’ & We Can’t Stop Laughing!

Bungee jumping is an extreme sport and well, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. That too when it’s the world’s tallest ‘water touch’ bungee sight in Pokhara, Nepal. Imagine yourself falling from over 80 meters of height, damn, that sounds scary! A dude recently actually thought he has what it takes to take the ‘leap’ but it was too late when he realized that he made one of the most horrible decisions of his life. It’s quite obvious to be nervous for anyone and scream during the flight but the most interesting thing about this guy’s jump is that it brought out the ‘Hari Bahadur’ in him. Yes, THE Hari Bahadur, one of the most popular TV characters in Nepal, played by Hari Bansha Acharya.

This is basically me when I see the question paper!

Just watch the video and you will find out what we are talking about.

Naren Limbu Releases ‘Vanna Aaudaina’ Sequel And Well, We’ve Something To Say!

Who remembers ‘Vanna Aaudaina’? Pfft! Such a stupid question that is. Of course, everyone does and everyone still loves the song dearly and that’s why it is one of the most popular Nepali songs on YouTube with over 3.7 million views.

The 2012 song has now a sequel and seems like it took Naren almost four years to have the courage to tell her what he feels about her. His latest song ‘Mero Man Maa’ has been labelled as ‘Vanna Aaudaina II’ and we’re not exactly sure about how to feel about it. The description of the song says, “Found a couple of words, wrote some of them and gathered the courage to tell her. And that’s why I call this song ‘Vanna Aaaudaina II’.” First things first, we really think that a song is complete in itself and it doesn’t actually need a sequel. Sometimes an incomplete story is special but if you complete it, it might become ordinary. Plus, happy endings are quite too mainstream. The thing is, a lot of people could relate to ‘Vanna Aaudaina’ as it told their own story. There are lots of people who can never express what they feel about someone and keep on loving them without even letting them know. And that was the beauty of the song.

‘Mero Man Maa’ is an equally beautiful song and Naren Limbu succeeds in winning our hearts once again. But we don’t think it was necessary to label it as ‘Vanna Aaudaina’ sequel. We’re pretty sure that there are quite a lot of people who would disagree to our opinion. Looks like we like incomplete stories more than the complete ones. Anyways, let’s not debate on that because the important thing is, we’ve a beautiful new song. The song written, composed and performed by Limbu is arranged by Bizu Karmacharya. The music video starring Sanna Tsering Gurung is shot by Bryan Rai, edited by Binay Kansakar and directed by Naren Limbu himself. Wait, we just realized something. Naren couldn’t tell his feelings to Mala Limbu and after four years, he proposed Sanna instead. Just kidding! The music video is beautiful and Sanna looks gorgeous.

Watch the music video below and let us know what you think of it.

Mountain Runner Mira Rai’s Inspiring Story Is Now A Children’s Book In Singapore & Hong Kong

Founded by Chole Chick in 2014, Sisu Girls is a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to encouraging and inspiring girls to step into themselves through sports and adventure. A graduate from the University of Canberra, Australia; Chick was awarded Young Australian of the Year in the UK. She says, “We believe you can give girls all the opportunities, education, and experiences in the world, but if they don’t have the self-confidence to utilise those skills they will never reach their highest potential. We need girls to understand they can walk their own life journey with confidence.” ‘Sisu’ is a Finnish word that loosely means determination and courage in English.

The organization based in Singapore and Hong Kong that has not only been organizing various adventure activities for girls but also publishing inspiring story books based on the lives of female role models has recently released a book titled ‘Mighty Mira’ that tells the story of Nepali mountain runner Mira Rai. The third book to have published in the Sisu Book Series, it’s a hard cover and fully illustrated book written by Chloe Chick and illustrated by Natalie Kwee. Books titled ‘Fearless Frosty’ and ‘Brave Beachley’ that tell the tales of New Zealander mountain runner Anna Forest and the seven-time world surf champion Layne Beachley respectively have been earlier published in the collection stories about courageous females.

‘Mighty Mira’ is priced at AUD 35 (including shipping) and can be ordered online from HERE.

A Girl’s Obsession About Becoming A ‘Kumari’ & Her Split Personality: This Film Will Thrill You!

Pranab Joshi who had debuted as a director with ‘Resham Filili’ last year had thoroughly entertained us with this Vinay Shrestha, Menuka Pradhan and Kameshwor Chaurasiya starrer comedy film. The director is back with a short film and this time, with a completely different genre. The 26-minute-film titled ‘Between Matina’ is a thriller that has Naswa Joshi in the lead and plays the title character who is obsessed with becoming the living goddess ‘Kumari’.

The film written by Susmita Maskey also stars Aresha Subedi, Sunita Thakur, Ram Raja Bhomi and Ruman Joshi. Directed by Pranab Joshi, the film is edited by Sushil Neupane. Talking about the film, “It’s a fictional film that revolves around a girl and how her life turns upside down when she is not chosen to be a ‘Kumari’. Originally a 45-minute-film has been shortened”, Joshi told NeoStuffs.

Watch the film below before you read our short explanation of the film at the bottom.

A short explanation of the film, just in case: A girl is obsessed with becoming a ‘Kumari’ but as she fails to become one,the story takes a horrifying turn and reveals her multiple personality disorder – one of an ordinary girl and the other who thinks of herself as a ‘Kumari’ and as the result, she thinks that she has the power to punish the priest who had declared her unqualified to become ‘Kumari’. The film ends with a scene after eight years where she is seen kept inside an asylum as she has completely left or forgot her original personality and is now uncontrollable.

Comment below what did you think of the film.

Yep! This one, that had DJ Edward Maya making you groove to his EDM music. M&S Events, the people behind the event, are now back with yet another happening event and this time it’s way bigger.

The company under the Movers and Shakers conglomerate that aims to introduce Nepal to the world as a destination that would fulfill the ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences travelers crave, through events; have now come up with a platform called ‘Imagine Nepal’.

So, what exactly is Imagine Nepal?

“Imagine, that you are on the brink of experiencing something that has never been explored before; that you are part of an expedition that dares to discover uncharted territories; that you are truly a part of a world without borders, in your mind, body and soul.”

Imagine Nepal is an unprecedented platform not seen by the likes of tourism & business is Imagine Nepal. It’s an one of a kind off-road 4WD (four wheel drive) event to the remote parts of Manang in Nepal, a land that is infamous since the olden times of the famous Silk route that can be dated back to 200 B.C.

The first edition of Imagine Nepal that is scheduled to take place in November this year will see at least 30 SUVs (Sports utility vehicle) cruising through the Kali-Gandaki valley and absorbing the wanderlust of Manang. These SUVs will be occupied by people who are from a business background and have proven their mettle in their respective sectors. There will be nationals, expatriates, diplomats and internationals taking part in this edition, all the while indulging in various ‘scenario-changing’ activities such as:

  • Golf Elevated 3450, the second highest Golf event in the world that will be taking place in the lap of the Annapurnas at the altitude of 3450m, Manang.
  • ‘Beat the clock’ at Kathmandu, taking laps on a rough track where the time taken will be compared amongst participants for a competition that will test off-road driving skills.
  • Corporate Karaoke at Timang, sing-off between participants to discover the vocal wonders of individuals known for business skills.
  • Storyteller, Inspirational stories to be shared that would highlight successes of individuals by exploring the personal struggles they might have had to undertake. Not to mention the poker games that would follow to test the sharpest of minds.
  • Cultural Encounter at Manang, a night that will showcase the cultural heritage of the ancient area of Manang with the participants taking part in the proceedings and encountering the delights of traditions that have passed down through generations.

And why Imagine Nepal?

The fact that a 4WD event as big as this has not traversed through the Nepalese terrain adds substance to the tagline, ‘the journey of a lifetime’. It is a challenge that will surely pump adrenaline into the veins, which is to be coupled with the stunning sceneries that Nepal’s terrain offers.

Wow!! Doesn’t that sound exciting already? To join or to know more about the event, you can visit the official website, or contact the organizers on Facebook or simply make a phone call to +977-9841181282.

This Song Is The Most Beautiful Thing We’ve Come Across In A While

It’s a shame that it has been over four months since this song was released but we had no idea about it. Before we talk about it, here’s something we want to request you. If you ever find a good song and love it, just share it on your social media accounts and let more people know about it. Firstly, more people will have the pleasure of listening to the song and secondly, it will mean a lot to the artiste. That’s one way to support your favorite artistes and your single share might help them survive in the industry. Yes, a single share can have that amount of value.

Now, we’re pretty sure that you might not have heard of a band named ‘Pahenlo Batti Muni’. We too had no idea about them until we listened to their first single today and now, we’re like their biggest fans. The band from Kathmandu has Rochak Dahal on vocals, Bikram Bashyal and Pravesh Thapa Magar on guitars, Kiroj Bajracharya on percussions and Dipesh Kunwar on bass. They released their first single titled ‘Bari Lai’ earlier this year in May. The lyrics, composition, music, vocal, arrangement and just everything about this song is so perfect that it will take you to a whole different world. The song recorded at Range Studio is mixed, mastered and produced by Rohit Shakya.

Another interesting thing is, the music video is as amazing as the song and it’s brilliantly executed. The music video by Kathaharu and Amuse Group that has Suman Rayamajhi and Reliza Shrestha is shot by Rocky Prajapati, edited by Shashank Shrestha and directed by Shailendra Paudyal.

We’re pretty speechless with this magnificent piece of work. Watch it below and let us know what you think of it. And do not forget to get connected with the band on Facebook.

So, what do you think?

This Song Is Pretty Okayish But The Beat Is Fire!

Nyshang is one name that you’ll be hearing quite a lot. We’ve been noticing this music producer for quite a long time and he has so far been able to impress us. His latest work is here and well, we love it. The song titled ‘Firework written, composed and performed by John might have gone unnoticed to be honest, but the beat produced by Nyshang saves it. The music video that has Priya Limbu and is shot, edited and directed by Dorje Sherpa is pretty cool as well. Overall, it’s quite an ordinary song with a dope beat and a good music video.

Watch it below and let us know what you think of it.
