Kathmandu, November 8
A delegation of the North Korean government and the communist party there held a meeting with former prime minister and International Department chief of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The team led by Choe Hwi, the deputy chief of the North Korean parliament, is currently in Kathmandu at an invitation of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The team went to Nepal’s private residence in Koteshwar of Kathmandu for the meeting today.
The meeting takes place at a time when the government of Nepal has issued its second circular to North Korean investors to shut down their businesses in Nepal. However, the meeting did not discuss anything about the issue, according to sources.
The two sides discussed strengthening the ties between the two governments and the two parties.
