Watch: This Short Film Starring Keki Adhikari Is Definitely Worth Your Time

Keki Adhikari might not have a long list of successful films in her career so far but that absolutely doesn’t mean that she is not a good actress. In fact, she is undoubtedly one of the finest actresses we have in the Nepalese film industry. And she has proved it again in her latest short film.

The 14-minute-film titled ‘Savitri’, written and directed by Sujit Bidari, is inspired from a short film ‘Typist’. The film set in 1995 in Kathmandu also stars Manju Devkota, Dipesh Bhandari and Raj Sharma. Keki plays the title character who is a married working woman and has an unemployed husband. At workplace, she has a friend, and a male colleague whom she seems to be interested in.

We’ve often spotted various flaws even in high-budget feature films that are set in the past years. There are always some mistakes that don’t make them look like the story from the year it was intended to be shown. Surprisingly, this short film succeeds in staying away from such errors. The radio that Savitri listens to actually talks about the happenings from that very year and it all seems very relevant. Strong performances by the actors, good direction and a story that might still be relatable to many — these very things make this short film a must-see.

Well, we liked the film. Watch it below and let us know what you think of it.
